ABOUT
Paulo Gallo is an Award Winning Chilean multi-instrumetalist, composer
and music producer based in Berlin and Santiago.
The Music and Sound Awards UK gave him the best score and sound design award 2021, on same year the Peer Raben music Award in Kölln, Germany, his music/scores and film projects have been praised internationaly on Screendaily, Forbes, The New Yor Times, Nowness, Vimeo Staff Picks, Shots Magazine, Cannes Lyons, YDA.
Recent Highlligths are his new score for the shortfilm “Ovejas & Lobos” selected at Clermont- Ferrand’s Shortfilm Festival 2024 2 Contemporary pieces written for Ensemble and a solo performer at Staatstheater Tanz Kassel, Germany playing in 23’/24’ season, and the aclaimed Amazon Prime’s Whats App‘s global 2022 Awarded film -Naija Oddysey- ft. NBA Champion Giannis Antetokounmpo. (Clio awards 2023, British Arrows 2023, CICLOPE 2023)
The Amazon Prime exclusive feature film IMMERSION (dir. Nicolás Postiglione) 3 times winner at Guadalajara international film festival 2021, Special Jury Price at PÖFF Tallinn Black Nigths 2021, official selection at Torino International Film Festival, Special Mention at Cinelatino, Toulouse.

__Paulo also scored and sound designed shortfilm TERRA CENE (Dirs. Rodrigo Inada / Nono Ayuso) this year Commisioned by KARMAN premiered in NOWNESS in alliance with the European Space Agency, based on the awareness of climate change, praised in YDA cannes GOLD, 1.4 and 12 times in Berlin Commercial, and the multi-nominated/awarded dance shortfilm TOKE (2021) (dir. Nono Ayuso) Produced by The Jacob Jonas Dance Company in LA.” being this last one his most awarded work to date.
Full Bio
After 6 years of Bachelor's degree in Music Composition and arranging in Santiago, graduated from Escuela Moderna De Música de Chile with later 1 year studies on chamber ensemble conducting in Berlin. Including also a catalog of music and sound design for TV and advertising, short films, and digital media for more than 8 years on advertising campaings including, PEPSI, Samsung, ZARA, Canada Dry, Madrid's Underground, Nord VPN, between many others with production companies worldwide as Fábula (CH), Oscar winner animation studio Punkrobot (CH), Moxie Pictures (UK) Translation (US) Partizan (US,UK,FR) Spain, Antiestático (ES) Saltwater (DEU) Peoplegrapher (DEU) + more.
Started as a guitarist, early interested in a diverse input of music, and connected with films since a family common ritual, after finishing his Conservatory studies and working 3 years with local ensembles in Santiago, decides to move to Berlin to explore the merging of Classical film scoring and electronic music, being this his principal form of composition, the merge between ensembles and classical, south american identity, and electronic instruments.
Started as a guitarist, early interested in a diverse input of music, and connected with films since a family common ritual, after finishing his Conservatory studies and working 3 years with local ensembles in Santiago, decides to move to Berlin to explore the merging of Classical film scoring and electronic music, being this his principal form of composition, the merge between ensembles and classical, south american identity, and electronic instruments.
Currently, representing his score and sound design supervision for ”Ovejas Y Lobos” (ENG: Sheeps and Wolves) Shortfilm, about to be premiered in Clermont-Ferrand’s 2024 , International Competition.
